If you can't get your laptop to charge or power up the problem is probably the power jack

  •  After plugging in and unplugging your power supply many times (often a bit too roughly?) it begins to wear.
  •  This wear can lead to heating up
  •  Eventually you have to wiggle the plug to get it to connect
  •  Sooner or later it won't connect at all

What you don't see is that inside the jack has come loose from the motherboard. Each time you wiggle the jack you are loosening it more and causing an arc.

This arcing can scorch and ruin the motherboard

In most cases this can be repaired but the repair should not be put off. The more arcing the more damage occurs

We perform a flat fee repair on any laptop. Best of all it because we do it ourself our standard policy applies. If we can't fix it we don't charge. No minimum service or diagnostic fee, Nothing, $0, NADA

If we have the jack on hand it will be ready within 2 days. If we need to order the part shipping takes about  week

Other website (including ones Lycos chooses to advertise on my site) will claim low cost repairs or LIFETIME warranties.I'm sure they do a fine job. But add up the cost of 2 way shipping and read their warranty carefully and then compare to our local service. I'm sure you'll agree this is the better deal.
